Update Points table as on September 29

With the super eights of the T20 World Cup already under way it is rather tough to decide which 4 teams will qualify for the semi finals because at present everything seems to be evenly poised in both the groups. Starting with Group 1 Sri Lanka is not top of the tree winning both their matches against New Zealand and England. Though they had quite a hiccup against the match against the Kiwis when the match went to the super over the match against England was just a cake walk. England and West Indies have 2 points each but England is one the second spot due to their run rate. England has also played 2 games out of which they have lost 1 and won 1. West Indies too have the same kind of situation. The road to the semi finals looks very grim for New Zealand as they have lost both their matches and it would take some miracle if they are to qualify for the semis.

In Group 2 Australia are leading the way with a superior run rate over the other teams. After beating India in a pretty one sided match they have a high run rate and since all the teams of this group have played one match each nothing can be said as to which team will go on to play the semi finals.
