CSK hands over sixth loss for Delhi

Delhi Daredevils are going through one of the most woeful forms in the Indian Premier League. The team were one of the most formidable force during the last ipl schedule; however their forms in the ongoing season has been far from replicating what they did last summer. Delhi Daredevils came close to winning their first match in this IPL, when they faced table toppers Royal Challengers Bangalore in their fifth match and stretched the outcome of the match to a Super Over. However, the Super Over contest belonged to RCB and DD were handed their fifth consecutive loss.

It was Delhi Daredevils’ last chance to remain alive in the contest of ipl 2013 when they were up against the perennial title contenders of the league, Chennai Super Kings, in their sixth match. CSK made sure that Delhi Daredevils lost on this chance of resurgence in this season. However, the way in which CSK dominated Delhi Daredevils in the contest is sure to make their morale hit rock bottom. Chennai Super Kings batted first at Firozshah Kotla stadium and offered a formidable total of 170 runs to their counterparts.

The total seemed overwhelming considering the past batting performances of Delhi Daredevils’ batting line-up. And Delhi Daredevils were folded and sent packing in just 17.3 over. CSK bowled out DD at just 83 runs and registered a mammoth victory of 86 runs, just one run short of the highest victory margin for ipl 6 which was registered by Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians.
