Delhi Back Being Pointless Punjab Steal A Win

Kings XI Punjab continued their good run in IPL 6 by crushing Delhi Daredevils by 5 wickets in a feeble run chase of only 121 runs. Delhi’s batsmen faltered again on good batting conditions and despite having enormous fan support at the Kotla who just thought their bad days are over; Delhi failed to live up to their expectations and play to their potential. Despite Gilchrist’s poor form with the bat his batsmen including young Mandeep Singh played a handy knock before he was run out by David Warner. David Miller and David Hussey joined the run chase following him to get Punjab a good and much needed 5 wicket victory.

With the league matches narrowing down it’s going to be a tough competition to see who qualifies for the playoffs and Punjab can surely fancy their chances if they continue their good form. Delhi on the other hand had a great match against the mighty Mumbai Indians especially with Sir Viv’s presence in the camp and just when the fans thought their bad days have been numbered they were left disappointed again at the Kotla. Delhi needs to buckle up fast and get going drawing inspiration from the MI game; Punjab as of now should strengthen their strategies more to take charge against teams like RCB who’re in superb form with Gayle scoring a massive 66 ball 175 earlier today.
