Points table after the fourth day of the T20 World Cup

The fourth day of the T20 world cup lots of ups and downs in the points table with England going to the top of the table in Group A leaving India in the second spot. England was up against Afghanistan and the 116 run victory helped England with the run rate and eventually they made it to the top. But their match against India is still left to be played and that will decide whether they stay on the same spot or whether there is any change.

It was also a day when Group D played their opening match. Bangladesh was set to face New Zealand and the Kiwis enjoyed a rather one sided match after Brendon McCullum fired the Bangladeshi bowlers all round the park. He scored a spectacular century and went on to make 123 before he got out. The Kiwis won by 59 runs and are on the top of the table with 2 points. There has been no changes in Group B and Group C where Sri Lanka and South Africa both stand on 2 points each but Sri Lanka are on top because of a greater run rate. Australia too are on top of their Group after they had beaten Ireland in their first match.
